Chain conversion

Hi guys! I am putting a 5" rear wheel on my Z1 and will be converting the chain. Is there a better choice or advantage to the different sizes? I am looking at 520, 525 and 530. I will need a 12mm offset sprocket as well. Is one size more readily available and is the offset sprocket available for a certain size more readily available than others. Thanks in advance for your help!!

Offset sprockets are available for the 630 chain, so no need for a chain/sprocket conversion.
I use a 630 chain on my project bike, so no need for a conversion yet.

BTW, we are pic junkies and want to see some pics of your bike progress.

Other than the stock 630 pitch, 530 is the next most common off the shelf size for offsets.
Anything else would most likely have to be one offs made to order.

Thanks guys, sounds reasonable to keep the 630. Is there a supplier you would recommend for the offset sprocket? Here are pics of my bike. I have owned it since 1974. i am currently putting a 2005 ZR7S front end and rear wheel on!

A really nice hot bike you have!!!
Is it a stainless Delkevic race exhaust system on your bike?
I am located in Germany, a company called Krüger & Junginger made and sells offset sprockets.
How many offset do you need exactly for your front sprocket???

Thanks! Yes its a Delkevic Stainless exhaust. I really like the look, "old time Yosh". I measured this evening and I believe 12mm will do it. I really like the upswept appearance of your Marving pipe!

If you want to stay with the 630 chain, APE can cover about all the offset you will ever need.
