What is this exhaust system?

I was at a friend's house last week and he pulled out the most bitchin' Z1/KZ exhaust system I'd ever seen! Anyone have any idea what it might be?



2000 ZRX 1100
1976 KZ 900- Daily Driver
1980 LTD 550- Dalton Highway survivor!

If it has tits or tires, it'll give you problems!

is it a stock header with universal baffles? looks tits tho

That is a Murray x pipe. IMO one of the best pipes for the z1. It makes it's power in 3 stages, 4000 rpm, 8000 rpm, 12000 rpm. That is a rare pipe.

Can you get to the oil drain plug and oil filter without removing that exhaust?

the one on ebay is a copy the one at the start of this post is a origanl murray very rare
nowadays
i think hes still making them but could be wrong jacks bike was useing a murray spider i think
the one at the start of this post is worth a few bucks
the sound they make is wild

pops yosh never designed a 4 into one for a canadian or us bike my ass
im running a origanl yos from about 73 or 74 on my kz 1000 z1r right now
the only thing cambell did was rebadge

I remember reading ads back in the early 80's from performance "X" pipe builder named Monty Campbell out of Cali that also made that exact type of pipe. The pipe was called the "MAXI-X" What a unconventional "goofy" looking pupe. Probably the reason you don't see too many of those pipes.
