Exhaust half clips/holders

Any suggestions?I cant find exhaust collars(the split rings that secure each header pipe to the head)for my 81 GPZ1100. I have an old kerker megaphone exhaust that didnt come with any mounting hardware,i picked up new exhaust flanges from the local Kawi dealer here,I also got a set of these split rings pt #92027-1300 the only problem the split rings are only about 15mm tall and by the looks of things I need something about 35mm tall.I dont know what to do next, maybe turn a set up on the lathe I guess. Any ideas?

I think you need the early style split rings with the Kereker. I probably have some extras if you cant find any locally.
later! Bob

I'm really mixed up now. I figured that there would be only a couple of sizes for a 1000/1100. I bolted a flange up to the head and measured 32mm from the recess on the flange to the exhaust gasket surface on the head.I think even with the gaskets installed the 28mm ones may be too short .Any thoughts?

I had a similar prob with my MAC header using stock split rings... I called MAC and they sent me a whole mounting kit with 8 split rings, clamps, hardware, the works... their rings are about twice the length of stock and cinched up perfect. They didn't charge me anything, or ask where I got the pipe. Maybe you could be an honest abe and offer to send them a few dollars for one of these kits, which would probably work with a kerker too.

As far as I know there are only 2 sizes for the 900-1000-1100 bikes....
several times I have sold the older 900-1000 type to guys putting Kerkers etc on the 1000-1100 bikes.
Doesn't anyone close to you have some you could try??
