1987 KZ305 LTD engine rebuild
05 Jan 2011 20:28
I am about to undergo an engine rebuild on my 1987 kz305 ltd. :woohoo: The reason for the rebuild is because i am leaking oil pretty bad and also blowing out some grey smoke.I am wondering if anybody has any hints or tips for the rebuild. If there is anyone who had experience with a rebuild on this motor any help would be awesome. thanks

There are not many 305's bumping around. Why don't you get up on
www.z1enterprises.com
to see what they might carry for replacement parts. My gestalt is that certain motor parts are difficult to source for the small, older Kawasaki bikes. You may become best friends with eBay before the build is completed. :)
