ok, so guess what, I went downstairs to try things out again, I put a ratchet on it and put some weight into it. The threads in the rotor started to strip. I have 6 threads in there and they are starting to go...this thing is hanging on for dear life! I may just forget it and leave it be, when I send the crank away if the shop wants the rotor off they can take it off themselves with whatever tools they have. I guess this 13 pages has all been for nothing, kind of a waste...ah well! now another thread on how to remove the c/s sprocket nut
