i have a 77 kz 650 with a atp turbo and a zenith carb iam having trouble with the carb i was wondering if anybody knew of a better carb or possible fuel injection i have searched and ask a few people but no luck no old school mechanics out there

I think Jeff is the ATP turbo expert, and I suspect he will be along soon to tell you what carb to replace it with 
Personally, I'd suggest a MegaSquirt EFI controller with fuel injection. It would be a lot more involved than just a carb change though

i run 2 turbo'd kz 1000's
the carb you are useing suks put on a mikuni HSR42
the difference it will make is unreal. the zenith cannot be tuned properly no matter what,offers no performance, run the mikuni and your idle,throttle response will improve 100%. i just bought a 900 engine from jeff for an extra ATP kit i have i will be running the mikuni on this one as well. what ignition are you useing?

the 42mm flatslide does liven up the bikes. With the 650, I'm not sure if the 42mm flatslide won't be too big - regardless, I'm sure it'll be much better than the junk Zenith carb that came with the kit...

thanks i looked and found the hsr42 at a harley shop pretty pricey but if it works its worth it um havent really got to to much yet just got frame back from chrome engine was fully rebuilt but still has points havent decided on a system might use a dyna

Why go to the trouble of turbocharging a 650 when Kawasaki did it for you?
