exhaust baffle
27 Jun 2010 19:04
I have a 1980 KZ1000 LTD. Will it harm engine or performance (ie.. carbs or mileage) if I take the baffle out of my V/H 4 in 1 exhaust?

It will make it run leaner which could potentially harm the engine if you don't rejet it.

Give it a shot. Removing 1 screw will do it. Will likely give you more top end but sacrifice bottom end and require rejetting.
Installing a competition baffle is the best of both worlds.

It may or may not require re-jetting, and will make a flat spot in your power down low.
