Back together and running

For anyone who's been following the broken ring saga.... she's now all back together at 9:00pm last night. Kz900 cases with 1,015 block honed to 70.25mm (1,024cc) and an Ebayed set of old 28's. Actually ran her down the road & back last night. Didn't seem all that bad considering she was running on a rough bench sync. Just needs a carb sync this evening and a timing check. Thanks everyone's help with the project.

Congrats! I had replied to the insert thread and was wondering if the inserts are the same length for your engine as they are for the 650? (12mm)

LTGTR,

Thanks. Yes the inserts I used were the 12mm long Helicoils and I can report that they worked extremely well.

Rickman,

Certainly pleased with the result so far. Hopefully the carb sync will result in some further improvement.
