Hello!

I recently purchased a 1976 Kz900... and I noticed that the frame vin is kz900%%%%%%%, however the engine vin is z1%%%%%%. Is this common or is the engine off of a different model???

If your frame number starts with KZ900B-5xxxxx, it's a 76 KZ900 LTD. Assembled in Lincoln Nebraska. The engine number would have been Z1E-086xxx or higher.

If it has a low number like 500365 making it the 365th bike in Lincoln Nebraska would it be worth more?...Russ

I have a very early run KZ1000A1 (like #95) and it means less with these later models of Z's:(

I don't know...the market just never developed...maybe that is why I held on to the bike...but, alas, it will go the way of all KZ1000A's in my garage...to someone else
