Fixing small cracks on aluminum engine parts

what caused it to break in the first place try to fix that problem first so after you get it welded it will hold

Actually I am not sure what caused it to break they are rearsets off a zx7 I bought used so previouse owner did it....

So that being said is this made out of aluminum?

you can actually mig aluminum too....I've done it a many of times on live all trailers and trailer doors...good penetration is a must, and you have got to know what your doing, and have the right gas mix which you can find on the internet....

I had the entire cast aluminum transmission/engine case heliarc welded on my old BSA after I broke it (please, don't ask how, it's embarassing) and never had any more problems with it.
