A Mac pipe is a basic, decent, complete pipe...no frills, but in my opinion just a step up from the V&H only b/c they don't claim to be something they are not:unsure: . I've never been a Hooker fan b/c back-in-the-day they were a budget wanna-be drag-racer / wanna-be cruiser pipe...don't know what you're looking for but I like just about every other pipe out there compare to the three that you mentioned.
If you can find an old Bassani that's the diamond in the rough. In my experience Supertrapp pipes fit as well as anything ever made. Kerker makes a decent pipe, but (my opinion) they don't fit snugly to the frame. A Yosh pipe would be hot, as would an Ontario (if you can find one).
Anyway, you went there...so there's my 2 cents.

10-4 on the V&H junk.I just droped $300.00 for one and would not fit the exhust ports, and you have to grind out all the extra chrome between the head pipe and meg.I will be sending them a bill for all my extra time I have in fixing there junk pipes.Pluss the chrome job is real shit!!.It will rust up in no time.

Dude, I remember those days! My Supertrapp was considered not-as-good as the Kerker...Yosh pipes were considered 'race' pipes and were hard to get. I know I paid like $150 or maybe even less for my 'Trapp and it had double walled construction, the chrome never ever went south, and the thing FIT like factory.
Then in about ... what ... the mid or late 80s all headers doubled in price almost over-night and I have no idea why. :S My 'old school' buddies laugh about that 'til this day.
