is it possible to take a front sprocket cover from a 1979 or later model 1000 and put it on a 1977-78 1000?
My clutch adjustment cover is rectangular but, for my year and model it shows a teardrop style. WTF you know? It is weird.
I must remove my skin.....

I think the difference you noted is due to the later motors being MKII's. Not sure if the covers interchange, but I'm sure someone here knows the answer.

yeah ive often wondered that also.if the bolt holes are in same place i would think it would work or you might have to swap out the trap door that covers the shift linkage ;)
