Met my boss for a Saturday morning ride ride a couple of weekends ago. The temps were -40 degrees in a lot of northern states at the time. These are some of my favorite roads in the tri-county area. Includes lots of stands of conifers and orange groves. I can safely run the old girl as hard as I wish on certain stretchesl if I chose to. But after splitting off from my partner, I chose for a brisk and hurried ride home through some, by local standards, curvy roads . The temps were just below 70 degrees. But when directly in the sun, it feels warmer. You can see by the way girl at the gas station is wearing only her workout clothes. Had the action cam mounted on the handle bars since I have not set up a helmet mount on the new helmet yet. Makes for more vibration. Sound also came out bad due to my home made rear fender eliminator having problem when one of the mounting bolts sheared off. Had to use the external mic / cord to tie down the rear light assembly. Worked well until I could find a place to purchase a bungee.

A recent ride up hilly and curvy Highway 94 from Campo to Boulevard. Handlebar vibrations are apparent. I have no clue where the occasional waviness comes from. I eased the vibrations noticeably by wrapping a narrow strip of rubber between the HB mount and the HB. The engine sound is a bit funky too, comparable to holding a screwdriver to your ear with it touching the engine, (just like the oldschool stethoscope test to hear your engine's internal sounds). I determined that one of the 'rattling sounds' to be my tire gauge rattling around in my tail piece tray lol. I seldom use the helmet mount because of the stress on the neck of wind resistance at highway speeds. GoPro's are the coolest thing since sliced bread lmao! ........................................Mike

Yeah my GoPro vid quality cld be better. I'm experimenting with different mount setups and locations. The open back of the mounting case makes for more windy sounds as opposed to the closed/sealed back and can only hear the sounds of the engine internals lol..............................Mike

Nice country. I can see where you wouldn't want to open it up much. Unlike here there's plenty to look at, out here it's the same as far as the eye can see. I long for those rides through the Malibu canyons, the tight twisties and long sweepers. Maybe this summer. I like the background music too. I'm thinking on taking the packing off the stock baffle and put it in so I can hear what's around me better. Right now it's just noise.

Rubbing salt in the wounds of those who are still at 25 F this morning :). There are supposed to be some 50 F days in the forecast, it was forecast to be that this Monday, but then it snowed most of the day :( Can't be too long until we get some spring weather.
