Who is interested in going and meeting up along the way? I will be riding from the south side along the lake to meet up with Pete the Greek so we can ride up tomorrow. If any of you guys are interested you can text me at 7oh eight 254-JONZ.
LOUDHVX, you down to ride? Who else? I know there are others here in Chicagoland area. I know this is late notice but WTH?

Damn it, just seeing this now. I didn't even know Rockerbox was happening til last night. Stan and I took a short blast up to Full Moon Cafe, but we didn't have a strong reason to go all the way to Milwaukee. We saw a V50 Guzzi Monza hauling ass up there, but not much else interesting... a bunch of Harleys and a KLR650.

I thought you were out of town out west for some reason.

I'm off Sunday, though, if you're not burned out from RockinBox.

I'm going to pick up my car from the shop and I just woke up a little while ago. Was a fun ride with Pete the Greek. His bike is drop dead sexy and fast. This was a great motivation to get my bike together before season is up. I have been hemorrhaging cash at an alarming rate.

I was going to head back home because it was late but then I figured, why not? I turned around and headed to Milwaukee. Met up with a couple of guys that I ride with and got to the box in time to see most of the bikes. Man, this year was really huge in comparison to years past when I went. Lots of cheese to get distracted with. I heard earlier you could barely walk it was so packed so I am glad I went later.
Milwaukee is such a "neighborhood", I love the vibe there. Chicago is kind of cold and sterile with more of a aloof attitude. I don't know how to describe that but it was good to be in.

Yeah I agree.

I think part of it is that it's so treacherous to ride in the city anymore. Every SUV driver is on the phone. The city keeps putting up concrete barricades and dividers in the middle of the streets (and then take out the street lights so they are hidden in the dark), along with big signs sticking up right in the center of the road. Sure, if you are driving a car, a big fiberglass paddle on a spring probably won't kill you, but on a bike it's deadly. It's like they can't run out of ways of eliminating your escape routes for when something bad happens. They want to kill off motorcycles because they don't generate enough revenue in gas taxes, parking tickets, etc or something.

That said, I do see the Ruckus dragster guys riding everywhere in packs at all hours of the night. Those guys look like they are having a blast, and are fun to ride with, even on a KZ.

5 star is tomorrow. I think it's Italian night. My buddy is trying to get his KZ550 going. If he does, we'll probably be there.

If I can get away, I think I will take a ride up that way. Sounds like a fun to do.

I saw most of those cool bikes except the nice kaws. I mean I saw the GPZ750 but the crowd was not nearly as crazy either. Man, thanks for putting up those pics. Was a perfect day. Wish I had of come up earlier. Next year we should all try and make some type of connection. I will definitely be entering my LTD in that competition just for kicks and giggles. Those two Z1 bikes look dazzling.
