We have had a monsoon season this summer with 37 out of 45 days of rain. Today a front moved through and cool dry air was in place so my wife said lets go for a ride this afternoon. We logged 150 miles on the Blueridge Parkway in NC riding from Ennice, NC to Boone, NC and back. In Boone we ate a late afternoon 1/3 lb burger and steak fries at Peppers Restaurant and split a slice of chocolate cheese cake. On the Parkway we saw deer, turkey, and near Calloway Gap 3 Yaks in the road that had escaped their fence. My wife rides a 750 Shadow. My 79 KZ 1000 LTD was running crisp in the 70 degree mountain air and I watched my odometer click 20,000 miles on the way home. What a great afternoon riding.
