The Forest road #28 that goes past Thompson Reservoir, was really cool. Lots of Cattle Ranches back there. Never saw one Deer, but the Cows were plenty. Its not open range, but there were many out on the roadway. You don't want to hit one of them with a bike! We had lunch down in Lake View, there is a good Burger Joint thats reasonable, all the locals, including the Sheriff were eating there. Missed out on the thunder storms that went through the area in the afternoon. We had dry pavement and warm temps the whole way. I can't find what I did with my POS camera, thought it was in my riding jacket, but? So no pic's sorry. Rode the KZ after doing more suspension work Friday. Fork bushings, RT Emulators, another front tire, and a different set of rear springs. KZ now handling really good, it just needs a 6th gear!

Did you get the Racetech emulators? That's on my list, how do you like them?

It'd be great if someone made a "6th gear kit" for these bikes. I'd pay a grand or two for a transmission kit, including 6th.

Yep got them, put them in on Friday then rode yesterday. I put them in as delivered and have not made any adjustments/ spring changes or anything. BIG DIFFERENCE! Gained a lot of corner speed, between the other stiffening of the swinger, and the fork brace. Ya Hoo!

It took a couple of extra days to ship out, as it involved the 4th holiday when I ordered, But they were great to deal with.

Looks like a cool ride. I've originally from the other side of the mountains in Oakridge. My sister lived in Bend for quite a few years though and I used to hit Mt. Bachelor usually a couple of times a year. So I'm pretty familiar with most of the area. One of these days I'm going to just take off on a good ride like that. Right now I'm following this blog americanducatiadventure.blogspot.fr/2012_07_01_archive.html it's not Kawasaki but this woman is doing a solo ride through parts of Oregon and California. She actually started in your area I think.

Yea I remember the good ole days of the frosted mugs at A&W from when I was a kid. My parents and brother are still there but I chose the tropics over the rain.. Hopefully one of these days I'll take the Ole Girl on a long trip back home to see the folks.

That would be some trip from Florida to Oregon! But I'm sure it would be Great Fun! Stick to the back roads where ever possible!
