Maintenance on friends KZ1000 A1
Yesterday 12:27
Today I did a few repairs and maintenance on my good friend's KZ1000 A1:
( The story behind this: On 1. of march, i´ve seen an offer in the local site about a customized KZ1000 A1 from `77,...i´ve thought this could be the "right bike" for him with the wider Akront wheels and 180/55-18 rubber on the rear, he´s a so big fan of bigger tires
So, after we both have a look on this bike, i´ve recommended to buy this, the price was ok, and he bought it...Engine runs great,..but as ever, a few little things had to need a closer look...
So, today I disassembled the 4-1 Marving exhaust system for a complete oil and filter change, and the electric system have had a short circuit in the right handlebar switch, I re-insulated two cables with shrink tubing. Than I re-greased the "floating bolts" on the two original front floating calipers on his Z1000. New pads on rear brake also, some adjusting on gas cables,... ign, ..contacts and timing,....Now everything is running smoothly again, and he's delighted! - So we can have some nice and troublefree ridings together in the comming weeks, ( i hope
...(( Sorry, no pictures, i was to busy on it and havn´t thought about

Mike, for sure i would help ya, if i would live in your area,...But I'm absolutely sure you, as a Kwaka specialist, can do everything perfectly on your own! -
My good friend unfortunately isn't so good at screwing, so I was happy to help him...what else are friends for? And he always helps me whenever I need his help. And by the way: He's an excellent welder for all metals!!!
(( A word about my thinking of friendship:
I believe in the value of friendship, in good mutual understanding, in give and take...but unfortunately that doesn't work for everyone...some people are pure "users" who only will take and never give some help back...and then at some point I'm out of my help...
As a result, most of us have experienced that the circle of friends and acquaintances has shrunk over the years
