That fella loves attention. I had the wiring harness for that bike in the garage here. Marcus, fella that sold that wasn't a criminal or fleecing anyone. His garage burned down so he had to rebuild this Z2 and many more. If you note in the U-Dummy video, he hadn't a clue either. Making phone calls during the production, reaching out. Just another person "living" the dream trying to be an "influencer" whatever that is, haha.

Agree. But I still don't get how that got past any inspection

Who knows Ronnie? Probably just not that familiar with the brand. And Trackz only one U in Mecum, he. I have a 1974 Z2 engine in a crate, haven't opened it yet for the rebuild. Soo handy for a table, ran out of flat-spots. Funny nobody noticed the Aftermarket turn signal stems, can see those a meter away.

I only put one "U" haha but I had 2 "C's", double stutter haha
As for the aftermarket stems, that's why I love posting things like this so that the people that really know what they are talking about can pick it apart.

I'm certainly no expert to pick something apart but when I seen that video with the vin like that,I know I would have never considered restoring that bike never mind buy it. In fact I have a kz1000a that I believe was a frame replacement deal with funky stamped vin that I just parted out .

If I was paying absolute top dollar for a restoration/original motorcycle at one of these top tier auction houses, the Z2A debacle would give me considerable pause as this episode suggests that these auctioneers may actually not know much about what they are selling. Or if they do, perhaps they are counting on the naivety of the buyers.

Hey Mike! Got tired of the garage..for a second. But Yes, "flash" seems to be an unfortunate predominant mindset even at this level, which one would consider a Powerhouse and wealth of knowledge of what they sell. If Ya remember back when the Z1 sold for something like 55K, it too was chalk full of aftermarket bits. Makes Tanner, Great fella, but Jeff Saunders is probably rolling in laughter at the idiocy. Seems no one cares here in the States, try that in the EU of the Fellas that know their shite and they would laugh their asses off and push it into the dumpster.

TrackZ, didn't mean to take over Your topic, but just goes to show. NO one Knows it all, if they profess that mentality then they are just prevaricating. We are all just human and humans are built to make mistakes, that's why i did the double U's instead of the C's. But..You had an ole Black bomber 450? I'm restoring it's sibling, a turd brown seat Honda 500T. Those darn camchains.
