I'm going to check out an 82 kz1100, and have a few questions.

I called him and he said one day while he and his nephew were riding it just died and he couldn't get it to restart. They towed it home, but after that he doesn't know what was done to it. His nephew ended up getting another bike so he doesn't know anything about it after that. The ad says it is all there, minus the battery and it comes with the service manual.

Is it worth the $500? I would think that parting it out I could get my money back if I had to.

If I do get it, I wanted to know if I could use the battery in my van to see what kind of condition it is in. Just as a temporary so I don't have to buy a new battery if I then decide to part it out, sell it, IDK.

For the money I'd go get it.

I already checked it out. I don't have the storage to keep it, and don't have the time for a project right now. I decided to pass on it.
