1980 KZ750G

Hey everyone,

First off I'm new here, but I've been following this forum and using it as a reference tool where my bike is concerned. Thanks to everyone for all their expertise and information provided this far!

As to my topic, I recently bought a 1980 KZ750G. She's a beaut! Or was. Before I even had the chance to ride it, some stand-up human being stole it from my home. It was found the next morning, but the gas tank was missing along with a few hoses disconnected, etc. At any rate, I'm looking for a replacement gas tank that requires little to no modification for attachment. I have looked online, but most OEM tanks are banged up something awful or rusted out.

Can anyone recommend a replacement tank of another model/motorcycle that would suit my needs (or have a spare for sale)?

Thank you in advanced!

I really don't know, but probably the 76-79 KZ750B Twin models.
From the diagrams at Partzilla they have the same tank band & damper.
and from eyeballing a B & G tank on eb, they appear to be very similar.
