The 900 brought home a trophy

Hello. The 23rd annual Anchorage Custom Cycle Show was held this past weekend and I entered both my '75 Z1 and the '76 KZ900 ltd in the Antique Class.
I've put quite a few hours into the Z1 getting it cleaned up after it'd sat in a garage for 30 years and was thinking of the 2 it had a better chance at a trophy than my ltd. But oh well.
The '76 was the winner of the Antique Class.

WOW! Beautiful! What a nice transition, 75 Z1B into 76 KZ LTD. I remember Anchorage, years ago, I shipped some Z1-KZ parts on eBay.
Chances are to you?
But nice work! You ever get a chance to get a nice LTD Jardine exhaust system, I'd go for it.
Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Thanks guys. A bike show. Never thought I'd be entering bikes in shows but it was cool.
I'd entered the ltd in last years show but it was the forgotten one.
Antique Class. What the heck. How did the bikes we rode back in the 70's and 80's become antiques?
I suppose that means we are too?

The best part of doing shows is the guys that used to have one just like that stand and look at your ride and you get to see them transform into that little young at heart kid they were back then!! You get to hear the stories and see them literally live them out, you also get to see the buddy your with feel like a kid again showing off his new evil kenevil rocket bike doing jumps in the school parking lot! That was for you Dave!!

Congrats on the show!!
