Should I snag a complete Gpz Turbo engine for $300
06 Apr 2016 14:57
Just like the title says...I found a complete turbo engine complete from airbox to turbo with wiring harness for $300obo. I came from a wrecked bike so I'm assuming it was in running order when it crashed. Lol
Besides grief from the wife, any reason not to grab it? Thinking of swapping it into my Gpz750 NA project.
Later, Doug

Gotta be more than that in parts even if you do find issues.

If you don't let me know, I would buy it. As a matter of fact if you just want to buy it to turn a profit let me know. My next build is going to be a turbo 750.

Just got back from checking it out. It's legit. Airbox to exhaust (minus mufflers) and valve cover to oil pan. Looks like all the wiring was there with the ECU and igniter. Turbo seems tight with no slop. Also found the fuel pump and filter. No oil cooler but no biggie there.
Seller said it's been sitting since 1986 when he totalled the bike with about 3500 miles on it. He wanted to use it for a project that never happened.
I'm going back Monday or Tuesday to pick it up.

The seller was nice enough to deliver the goodies to me since my recent back surgery is leaving me a bit useless for lifting anything more than 5lbs.
