I always wondered why there wasn't a project forum over there. I have been a member there for about a year, but don't post much. I haven't really done much of anything with the 750F in a while. I was in a holding pattern prior to buying my house. Hopefully, I can get back to work on that kind of stuff soon.
It did seem that the general vibe over there is not too cool. That's the main reason that I don't post much there. I had hoped to pick up the pace when I got going on my project, but who knows now.
I can't wait to see how this one shakes out.

I don't have a problem with ANY brand of bike, just the people who claim to be bikers! I have hit a couple forums that like you say are overrun with prejudice A-holes and it's sad. Around here where I live it's the Harley guys screaming that aint a bike and when I went to daytona the first time I was prepared for the abuse only to find some all around good people, a lot like on this site. When it boils right down to it, you got to feel blessed.
The fastest bike I rode before a liter kaw was an 836 kitted 750 honda. That thing was flat nasty and was claimed to be the fastest thing around till a turbo Z1900 took him but that reputation stayed with it a long time. Love to see another old one brought back to life!

Here's some of "the haps" going on with the F-ing bike. First pic is a set of braided lines (like all bikes of that era, this is a NEEDED option).
hmmmmm...okay, pic files are 'bmp' ... need to find a way to convert. ...back in a minute. :pinch:
Okay, can't see the braided lines, but here's a shot of the Fox remote res rear shocks and the CalFab swing arm.

As we all know Honda made some Honda-line parts in that era that they called 'Sport Kit' items. Handlebars, footpeg brackets, etc. Here my buddy Blitzkraig sacrifices his sportkit rearsets to my project. According to him (and he is a GENIUS!) the stock peg location is Harley Davidson-ish and the sportkit just puts the pegs into a reasonable spot. As is typical with Honda 'stuff' these parts are becoming super expensive when you can find them ... I'm gonna owe Blitzkraig big time for all his work.
...aaaaaaaaaaaaand once again it was a 'bmp' pic ...

So, how about a shot of proper usage of the oven?

Re: Coming to MY garage

So, here's the deal: I've got some sweet blue/white bodywork that goes with this bike and I'll be using that eventually. (those pics are ... you guessed it ... 'bmp') At this moment we are using silver bodywork just to get into 'driver' condition. Also, the CRs are going to the bench while the stockers are going on the bike. REST ASSURED that the CRs are going back on, when I can address them all by themselves. Here is a pic of the tank.
I HATE the stock filler cap, so had a flush mount lid welded on by WesTek in Topeka, Ks. This tank will be painted blue to match the blue bodywork.
Notice the profile of the smooth tank top. The stock fuel cap is very John Deere-ish.
The exhaust is two different SuperTrapp systems put together to come up with this option. Blitzkraig painted the collector and the stainless can up to the point where it looks correct; also painted the exhaust collars.

Re: Coming to MY garage

And here is how it sets now. Although it starts, Blitzkraig says it's not ready yet. He installed the stock blinkers (which, strangely, I like). I am REALLY satisfied with the exhaust; I've always been impressed with the way the Trapps fit compared to other pipes of the era and this one is no exception.
Plans are to simply get it into good dependable running condition and make it the daily driver. I've got several bikes that need to get on my lift and I'm needing a DD that the wifey and I can enjoy.
I would LIKE to do a lot to it, but I'm hoping that before the end of the summer I eventually have the fuel tank painted and all the blue bodywork mounted. Good set of tires. CRs sorted. And - oddly - right side silver engine cover powder-coated black ... I just like black motors.
