Coming to MY garage
18 Apr 2012 00:19 - 18 May 2012 12:08Attachment Nobodywork1.jpg not found
Ko-nee-chee-wahhhhhhh bitches! :woohoo:
Just kiddin'. My school year is almost over and I'm jonesing for the 'transition' to summer. Last year a picked up a bike (lonnnnnnnng story) and it's gradually making it's way to Garage del Bad Kaw. It's an '83 Honda CB1100F with some trickery going on.
The first pic is now it was shipped.
The second pic was my buddy (Blitzkraig) putting some of his spares on it and getting it up to speed ... speaking of 'speed' the bike picked up like 20 bHp just by putting the green fairing on ... hmmmmm.

The third pic is how it sets at the moment with some crucial parts just now arriving at the garage. Notice the flush filler cap and the KZ1000J headlight.

The last pic is a NICE one ... but it isn't going that direction ... yet.

I have plans, but go ahead and shoot your arrows at it ... it IS a Honda. :pinch:

Well I see that you must have found the CB1100F site. I have a 750F waiting in my garage right now. I like it!

Very nice! I want my next bike to be a CB400 SS or a CB750 SS in that order of preference. Still love the SOHC Honda's best. I guess because I was in awe when I first some them as kid. By the way, nice bike!

I have a soft spot for the Honda's. My mother rode a tricked 750four and my first street bike was a CL175. Haven't owned a Honda since
Joe, I know where there is a 350four complete but well weathered. It is in Pasco county and it will need alot alot alot of attention. JFYI

Hey, I get dibs on the starter
Just kidding, I've always liked the 900/1100F. I remember a guy back in the 80's who had a 900F (silver one with blue stripes) that was one of the highest end showbikes I've ever seen.
Looks like a fun project :woohoo:

Re: Coming to MY garage

Ha-haaaaa! Yeah, I knew I was setting myself up on THIS post! You guys are like brothers, I could bring home a hottie and you'd all remind me that no matter how hot she is that you'd already "been there" and that your current girl is hotter and that I hadn't "been there"!!!
Yeah, I've been on the CB-F site for many years (but this site is my first love and my home). I have to say that I don't post much or often over there. It's typical Honda-perfectionist-purist-periodesque prick-ness. I parted out a 900/1100F project that I had in order to buy this one and I posted on their site to give them links to the ebay parts. HOOOLLLLYYYYYY crap!!! You would have thought that I screwed their wives while they were gone or something; I got unloaded on by like 3 or 4 of their site members for NOT just giving the parts to people on their forum who could use them. It was nuts! Then - admittedly - several of the "good guys" from their site shot me PMs explaining how there are some nut-jobs hovering over their forum that like to be dicks. But they didn't want brought into it, they just offered their condolences. What a face-slap; some serious pricks over there. But some good guys, too.
Here's a funny for you: one of the site administrators asked if anyone had suggestions for their forum and I said "how about a 'projects' section in the forums" ... then he proceeds to rail on me for offering my suggestion; didn't allow anybody to say 'yea or nea', just said "no" and "here's why". ...yeah, I don't post there often.
But I will say that the current guys who are posting on my thread now are some good dudes.
This place however, ROCKS!!!
Gotta run, big weekend.
-KR
PS> There is a BIG story behind this bike ... tell ya later. ...really gotta run!!!
