I put the hammer down all the way. 1 quick lunch stop, a few for gas and I got home at 8:00 PM. Strong winds from the south all across Iowa beat me up pretty good.

on the shirts...these are very nice quality...if folks want to get one...lets support our friends effort and p.m him...i ordered some and like em enough to get more too.....as good or better quality than a race day shirt imo

I did catch IA on Friday morning. The flag transfer took place in Mizzery Valley, IA.

I felt bad about not stopping to see you. I rolled through The Cities about 10:00 AM and figured you were at work and another storm was on my butt. I caught a few sprinkles from it but the bulk of it stayed behind me. We'll get together another day.

Yep I was at work. But its better to get this thing moved. All it does is rain this year. Today and tomorrow will be nice, then 4 more days of rain. Arrg!
Maybe we'll get together on another relay LOL.

goodfastncheap has it in Nebraska still. He's handing if off to me next saturday in Holton, KS. After that I'm not sure where it's going. I posted in the leg 4 thread a while back, but never heard anything back from anyone. I believe it needs to go to New Mexico or Colorado next.

TomW have you talked to anyone in the next leg?

I've sent PMs and got no responses. I have no contact info other than the forum for anyone on leg 4.

I think it should go to NM and up to the Four Corners. OMR can take it from there on to CA. Saxjones has expressed a desire to make a long ride. I hope we can work it out.

Yes sir, I could do that but I need to get my bike back together here. I ordered a lot of stuff and put most of it on today. Bike is really coming along. I just need to get the brakes taken care of and the rest can wait for another day. I will post pics up soon in my 1075 with Cams thread. I will need to do this fairly soon as I can see you guys are getting anxious. lol

I recently purchased a shaft drive kz1000, so I am much more willing to do a long haul. We just need to find who wants the flag next and plan a route. There is a possibility that I will be out of the country the end of July/1st part of August, so I would really like to get the flag passed before then!
