I think the issue is two fold. The primary issue is that KZScott and T_Dub's schedules aren't lining up. The other is how far T_Dub has to ride. He's willing to make the haul if needed, but I think the idea is if we found another rider between them it might solve both issues.

Thats exactly it Topper. I have 3600km to cover and I only have the one opportunity to do it. And it happens that KZScott is working on the one and only day I can make it. So if we could find someone to drive it up to the border of Maine-New Brunswick it'd be awesome. If not I have a long day indeed on the 23rd, and we wont get a proper hand-off.

I wish Heyst were still in the game. For that matter, we've had a couple of folks from Maine sign up and have to drop out (or disappear). RiTurbo, I think a Craigslist ad in Maine is a good idea.

Is there possibly a location in northern Maine (maybe a bike shop or something) where arrangements could be made for KZScott to drop off the flag on one day and T_Dub to pick it up on another - sort of a delayed hand-off? Ed

I know it's not the ideal way to do it but if you can't make schedules match up what would be wrong with leaving the flag at a safe house, like a Kaw dealer ?

Opps, Ed beat me to it.

I put the ad in. I think a kawa Dealer or a safe house would work also.

Just had a look, there's two Kawasaki dealerships right on the Canadian side of the border. One in Woodstock, one in St. Stephen. None close to the border on the USA side.

I've sent him several PMs and he hasn't responded. The first thing I ask everyone is to send me their email address (in case something like this happens). Of course he didn't respond to that either :silly:

I'll try again and maybe he'll respond this time.

Good to hear from you Heyst. What are the chances that you'll work your electrical problems out in the next two weeks? If you were able to work them out, we'd be asking for a fairly long haul (though not as long as T_Dub's). You'd need to meet KZScott somewhere between you and Bangor ME. If you met half way, that'd be an 8 hour round trip.
