I just found out about this and am willing to run the flag to wherever. I am in Los Angeles County specifically in San Pedro, CA. I can meet someone in the Sierras as far north as Mammoth Mountain or so. Awesome riding up there so I don't mind. I can meet someone eastward too like in Joshua Tree National Park or thereabouts. Basically get it in California and I can meet up or ride along with someone.

I work full time Monday-Friday, but weekends are available.

I own a 1978 KZ650 B2 so I know that fulfills the requirement, but I may end up riding my '85 GPz900 because the KZ motor is being rebuilt. May or may not be ready when the time comes. Cheers!

If this has not been posted on the KZ650.info site it should.

PM Me or post in the Northwest relay page when ever you end up with it. I'll come get it from you, I'm in Bend Oregon with a couple of other members. We might make a nice ride out of it. Definitely more than ready for the Flag to get to you, then me!

NOW THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE LADIES & GENTLEMEN!!! B)

Thank you Cy for stepping up with all the contact information needed to keep you and others in the loop. It must be a KZ650 thang! ;)

Cy, as The Flag advances I suggest keep checking in on this thread as well as see if there is a specific West Coast Thread Started. Flame On if there already is! I suggest others wishing to participate do the same. Also, if anyone is not as brave or comfortable placing all their contact information out here on the open forum then PM 650ed. He is as close to being in charge and coordinating this as anyone I know. BTW, Ed would you please "Pin" CY Fernandez in his hometown area. Also please "Pin Me" somewhere out west of Omaha in what Peter describes as the Sand Hills(N.W. NE)as I am taking the relay hand off from Goodcheapnfast . Thank You!

I'm not the pin person (I'm not being uncooperative, I just don't think I have access or software or something (maybe brains?) to do it.) The link below should help folks get on the map. I think you start by clicking on "Join The Ride." Ed

Thanks everybody for stepping up! I'm in the mood to do another state, and it would be great to have another vintage KZ or two staggered in the right lane!

Just pinned myself on the map. I suggest when you pin yourself on the map that you put your contact information on it (cell, email, address whatever). We did put ourselves on the map so someone can contact us to join in right? ;)

That is an excellent idea Cy! I already have contact info for both ends of my hand off. If I did not I would update immediately. I will update before starting my leg of The Relay.

Not to steal Cy's thunder, just a further thought. Whether a Relay Rider or travelling around the country it is a good idea to have a network of Moto Friends. On another forum for my ZRX, there is a Members Only Section with a Sub Forum, Roadside Assistance. It is contact info of members all over the country to aid other members. If you enter your info to help, you indicate level of mechanical experience and if you can transport a bike, etc. I also have AMA Roadside Assistance which gives me some sense of security. It basically amounts to a tow to the nearest participating motorcycle shop.
