I'll have to see what we have going on, looks like fun.
Edit: Hmm....I was planning on repainting this week to correct some flaws from the last time...seems like fortuitous timing.
Anyone else?

Wow, can't see any flaws in that avatar picture! Hope to see you there flaws or no flaws. My flaw is that my KZ is still a basket case. Don't hate me for showing up on a halfway cafe'd cb 750.

Me and a buddy of mine will be there. We are riding from southern Illinois. I'll be on my 77 KZ1000 and he will be on his 77 CB750 that he just turned into a beautiful cafe racer.

Ford truck, maybe we'll catch ya around Chicago. Although us Michigan guys can't decide if we're takin' the ferry or not.

Has anyone gone to this before? I just went to my first swap meet in north/central WI, paid $8 and left about 20 min later. They had a few decent bikes in the show, but nothing special. All the swap was literally JUNK. I know one mans junk is another's treasure, but this stuff was seriously junk.

I haven't, but I'm going more for the bikes, bands, and beer. I believe that this is near the Fuel Cafe which is big into the cafe culture which is why others are saying they are riding their cafe's to the show.
Swap meets tend to be hit or miss. You'll either score or find junk. You just have to keep looking.

I figure for free, you can't complain. I think my wife works that day, so maybe it will be a good day trip for me

That'd be cool. Hopefully you don't find us along the road wrenching on our bikes!
Is anybody here going to enter their bikes into the bike show? I'm thinking about it. I looked through last years pics of Rockerbox, and there was some really sharp KZ's. I probably wouldn't stand a chance. My buddies CB750 cafe would probably place. It's really sharp.
It would be neat if we had KZRider shirts. We could wear them and it would be easy to pic each other out of the crowd.

Rockerbox is probably the best show in the Chicago-Milwaukee area, and that's not easy for a Chicagoan to admit to.
It's not a swap meet, it's more like a big party with a shit ton of bikes around. No entry fee. Lots of food and drink stands and many indoor bars and restaurants in case of the occasional shower. Way more women than a swap meet too!
I have to work in the afternoon, but I might slip in for a few minutes in the morning.
