Alright, went to WI state fair yesterday with Dad and Sister. That's just outside Milwaukee.

Verified the I-94 spur is messed up down to one lane. Avoid it unless you get there early, or don't mind a mile or two of stop and go, or at best slow go. The spur is the link from where I-94 splits off from 94/41 to connect to where 294 turns into 94.

We took 41 north until Buckley Rd. (IL-137). Went west on that then took 43 north.
43 north turns into 41 again, then that merges right back into 94 (albeit much farther north).

Other than the spur, 94 seems ok in Illinois. But there are stretches of 94 construction in WI. It's not real bad, but the lanes get narrow and it's tight if there are semi's.

Still no info on the south side of Chicago, though.

Hey Loudhvx, thanks, thats some really good info. My plan is to take US12 to Chicago and try and meet up with the Chicago Ton Up Club. I don't know what route they are plannin'. I should be gettin' into Chicago around 8am or so. Anybody know any of those Chicago Ton Uppers?

Yes I know a couple of them. They are usually at most of the bike events around Chicago. I think they usually take a more scenic route than 94. I thought I remember them taking Lake Shore Drive and 41.

Almost wish I could make that ride...I used to love riding the KZ up LSD from my apartment in Bridgeport.

The bikes still getting paint, so it won't make it, but the wife and I will be attending. I'll make sure to get gobs of photos for everyone.

Double dub where in Bridgeport did you live? I may have raced you once. I also remeber another guy that lived by 33rd and halstead. I lived in Bridgeport 32nd n Princeton.

Also the ride we will take up will most definitely not be 94. What would be missed is every cool thing and reason to ride to Milwaukee in the first place. Sheridan road all the way with it's corners and lake view with homes that have maids quarters that would put most nice homes to shame. If tonupchicago goes 43 we will most likely break from the pack an take the road less traveled along the lake all the way.
830a Starbucks on Irving Park road. It's posted on their
website. OldKowsForever is meeting me up on the
southside. Late notice but call me. I will let you know
where the group is in case you get lost. Besides you can see the baddest 73 z1 ever! My friend will be riding it up. Zzzzzz !!!!!!

Here's some pics from the show - the Kawasaki showing was a little lacking, but there were a few gems here and there.

A nice KZ650
