Anti-fog for visor
12 Jun 2009 06:14
What do you guys use for anti-fogging spray/wipes for helmet visor & sunglasses? I haven't found anything I'm really happy with yet; seems every morning it is around the dew point and humid, so I have a hard time keeping my visor from fogging up.

Some guys use a product called Cat Crap. I think no matter what product you use it needs application every day or two. I have a no name product a friend gave me, it's a waxy type of paste. I need to apply it daily.
Here is a link to a good site that has covered a LOT of anti fog products and antifog visors. www.webbikeworld.com/

I bought a Scorpion helmet - and provided I am moving, the visor doesn't fog at all! I pop it up a notch or two at lights, etc. but even if it fogs while stationary, it clears in a few seconds once moving.
Sorry, that really doesn't help - I have "heard" that if you cut a potato in two, and wipe the freshly cut face on the inside of the visor, it will prevent fogging - but I have never tried it!

Cream or gel? How do you apply it?
I also read that Baby Shampoo will work. I'm interested as I ride all year, and winter is the worst for fogging up.

Same here, find the Scorpions really good for preventing the fogging. Not sure why though, what are they doing different.

My visor won't fog if I do this too, it's a KBC helmet. In the winter I freeze my upper lip doing this so I wear a balaclava.
Got to find a product that works tho...
