Hey guys what's it worth?
10 Jun 2009 23:37 - 11 Jun 2009 09:17
Hello everyone, I'm a new member but have been coming to the site for quite some time prior to me buying my latest bike. I've decided to sell but not sure what it is worth...any feedback would be great. It's a 77 KZ1000 LTD, as it turns out the miles are unknown so the value is the big question. I just listed it on Ebay and trying to get an idea of what it might go for. here is the link to the auction.

Seems to be in really good shape, bet he gets somewhere around $4K to $6K....
What you'll find is KZ's are becoming extremely difficult to find and one in excellent shape/rebuild/restoration up towards $8K-$10K range.
Example, follow the link...
www.redlinecycle.com/Bikes.htm
There's another outfit in Florida (dealer) who selling rebuilt 76/77 KZ900 for $10K....
Now with that said, most of us here enjoy doing the same thing ourselves but for others who just don;t have the time, the love for it or the experience/tools, buy it already done for them.
As much as I have put into my project in costs, I can easily see where $5K plus is reasonable. Now throw into the fact that these old girls are getting harder to find... well, they only made so many of them you know...

Oh, I'm guessing the $3000 mark for a selling price...although OMR may be correct...if I had that bike, I might hold out for that 4-6K buyer

There is always
THIS
, or perhaps
THIS
- both seem pretty fair prices. If I had a few $$$ to spare I might go for one of them!

Well in retrospect, I got a crazy good deal on my house. And picked up a beat up '80 LTD w/ a 900 motor for $800. I guess I did all right in the long run.
