classic motorcycle show carmel california 5/9/09

a freind had tickets and had an extra so i went and even though it was 60 a ticket ....i will be making this a yearly event....if it was not free ida never went.....go figure.....
Quail lodge classic motorcycle gathering...is the name of it and i saw some bikes that were the only ones left in existance....ever heard of a Crocker....it is a hand made...every part is hand made ...indian type bike...it won the show and i'm waiting on my freind to e-mail the digital camera shots to me so i can post some better shots.....a carbon fiber ducati 900ss with heavy mods won another catagory and an old harley won another and was givin the award by non other than mert lawill who used to race the same harley and was featured in "on any sunday" riding one of the same type of harley's...a beemer,and some others finished the awards...some of every bike you could want to see were there including a euro dual disk 76 kz900 that looked like it just got outta the assembly line in 76....factory hrc 1000vf,proton kr 500cc gp bikes tz750 flat trackers and about 125 other unbeleivable bikes..met craig vetter,mark hoyer of cycle world and twist the throttle...and got bubba shobert to sign my z1-e shirt.....by far the greatest part of the day was meeting bubba shobert who walked with me and showed me his sons race efforts clint shobert...bubba is one of the nicest guys i ever met and in his day he could ride anything you gave him to win just about....a true hero and nice guy....more photos and better quality ones soon ...enjoy peace craig
