I have a question about my bike...
13 Apr 2009 18:18
I bought a 1981 KZ 650 and it has a 4 in one header but the exhaust is coming out on the left side
Is this rare?
I have only seen bikes with the exhaust coming out on the right side...here is a pic
left side
right side

I had a left side exhaust on a 1976 900. It was a five piece header and if you took it off you had better number the pieces.
I would say there are rare. i don't see many at all on KZ's

Yours is the first I've seen out to the left on a 4-1. I think you've answered your own question about its rarity.

Seems to be more popular over in the UK where they like to ride on the other side of the road.
