Ice fishing and riding.

The weather's been getting warmer up here in the Great White North (well around me in Southern Ontario at least).
The Pizza delivery guy said he was out Ice Fishing, and then saw a few motorcycles out riding as well on the way home.
I was out riding a few days ago, and got out today as well to see about this rumor of people still ice fishing.
Sure enough there were people out.
Just seems odd to be able to ride and ice fish in the same day. :blink:

OK what did you catch? WE road through some snow on the side of the road yesterday.

I rode my W650 to work on Friday - first time I have ridden it! It sure is a cool little bike and will cruise at 70 no problem. With the clubman bars on it also is very comfortable and will make a great long-distance cruiser. It takes a little getting used to as it has much more torque than my KZ and is also a fair bit lighter!

However, when I got home there sat my beloved KZ650 looking a little sad - I couldn't resist, so I fired her up (4th kick - after sitting since November) and took her out for a spin and I have to tell ya - the "W" is a cool bike, but for sheer grins-per-mile, the KZ has it hands-down!

Ha! I really like the "Flying Tigers" motif on the chin. Nice touch. While I love to Bass fish ice fishing holds nothing for me. But it looks like a great ride. Riding season is drawing near. Had the 900 running yesterday and a friend rode up on his Goldie. After about a dozen kicks the Trident told me to come back next month and went back to sleep. I left my Goldie, Silverwing and KZ750 to sleep for a while too. Looked like they needed it. Got to put a new harness in the KZ650. Not too fast cause the roads around here looks like the mooon.

ice fishing is alot of fun watching that big old pike trying to decide if that bait is to good to be true or not. oh and by the way i'm just abit jealous as we just got slammed again with the snow then last night it dropped down to -38 in about 4 hours from -15. looks like i still have at least another 2 months with no riding
