400 hp kz. BS or not???

Check out this kz1300 on ebay. Supposedly makes 400hp and ran 8.3's. Seems like hes exaggerating a bit, haha. MOST bikes that run low 8's don't have a bone stock chassis and tire with a wheelie bar. I might be wrong though.

B to the S! With 400 hp you don't need a wheelie bar because you would never get traction with a skinny tire.

He says it will not hold a charge because the right side stator is broken off. If I'm not mistaken the alternator is on the left side of the motor isn't it? The right side is the pulsing coil (comp-generator), correct?

I would guess 160hp max. In order to run 400hp he would have to have some serious work done to the motor to keep it in one piece. Going by what the engine looks like I would say he did not take good care of it so it makes you wonder how much care he put into building the engine.

Well, he doesn't actually state the actual hp.
He says it's a "Little under 400", so technically anything below that could be construed as being a little less. hee.

I'm with H1Vin on this one. The truth can be "stretched" with out down right lying about it.

Kinda of reminds me of when I got married:

You see, I met my wife in a small town outside of Milan, Italy (see note #1) and after a short romance, we were married outside of Paris, France (see note # 2).

When you drag race you get time slips. If I had a motorcycle that ran 8.3 sec I'd definately save a few of those slips to prove what genious I was. I wonder why none of these guys save their time slips? Maybe because they never had them? In all the years and claims on ebay, I've yet to see a time slip to prove anything. Even a fake timeslip from another vehical would be better than nothing.
321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
