KZ-holics Anonymous

Hi, my name is Conway, and I'm a KZ-holic.

I'm working on a Z650B1 conversion to KZ650B2 this winter (see below), and I spend all my free time thinking about it, and any spare time at home tinkering on it.

I have been neglecting my gf, who is very understanding that I just want to be rid of this hulk, which started as a $300 parts bike, but now is almost running, possibly worth over $1500.

I've been using valuable time at work to track down parts and reading posts so that I can finish this project.

I've told my gf that the proceeds from this project will go to a vacation, but we all know it will go into my next project!

I set goals to have it running by Mar1, which is in just over 2 wks, and sold by Mar 31 so we have vacation money for May. Was this a mistake? Has this caused me this stress that is KZ-holism?

Just tell her that due to the current economic conditions worldwide, your vacation will have to be postponed to the end of July. Then bring her to AMA Vintage Days at Mid-Ohio. Yeah that should work.

Here is more evidence of KZ-holism. Any other examples?

I honestly don't see where you have a problem. However in the event she continues to whine you can always bring in the big guns. Just have here look at this thread. kzrider.com/index.php?option=com_kunena&...0071&catid=13#230071

It should shut her up in a New York minute.B)

Fully addicted and running low on space. Plus enough parts in the basement to make another or two.

Yes I'm a KZaholic and proud to be one! Have been since the late 70's. Have never owned a bike but have had my license since I was 18, am almost 53 now. Just purchased a 1980 KZ1000 LTD similar to my room
mates in 1979. Haven't even got it home yet but I'm so excited. My son has a 1980 LTD also. Looking forward to some ride time with him. Surely I will become a worse addict after a few hours in the saddle. I just love this bodystyle. There are no others like it.
