KZ1000 Tool Kit
11 Feb 2009 05:35
Morning. Any suggestions for an on-the-road tool kit that will fit under the seat (similar to the OEM one)? Or perhaps one that will fit in the compartment under the tail section of my 1000J. Thanks.

I moved this to the bike related chit chat. You'll probably get a few more responses here.

You can find them ebay. It's amazing what you can fix with a factory tool kit.

I gave up on ebay tool kits. I could find them, but could never win them. I'm a crappy bidder.
I spent $60 on a new tool kit from an MC catalog (whitehorse gear). It's more complete than the factory kit, but alot bigger. So I use a tool bag strapped to my front forks, under the headlight.
I'd still like to have an original Kaw tool kit... but "buy it now" is the only way I'll get one, and I'm too cheap.

I'm right there with ya.
Early on my tool kit was a cell phone and a .45.
Now my cheap "tool kit" is a pair of vice grips, one of those 4 in 1 screwdrivers, a plug socket, a roll of electrical tape and a few wire ties.

i couldnt justify the cost of a factory one on fleabay, so i bought the one Z-1 sells....decent price and the pouch has enough room to add a few things....i dont have to contend with stock airbox
so it fits nice under seat between battery and inner rear fender.....just an option.....keith
