Here is a tail light idea for you.
15 Jan 2009 00:00
I did this tail light up for a 82 Kz 750, they came with a big old lunch box tail light and grasshopper eyestalk tail lights.
I got the small signals and cat's eye LED tail light from Dennis Kirk, about 50 bucks total for lights. I made a small two piece bracket to mount that little set up. Here are some pics, it is a rough mock up, still needs some grinding and some finish work, it adjusts easily due to using the stock rubber mounting.
Here is the old, hacked up bracket that started out as a giant piece of heavy metal, now is reduced to a small foot print and a couple tabs:
Here is the top half of the light bracket, bolted on for mock up, I used 3 self taping screws, but I will swap it out for something smaller after final fit
With lights on it:

Pretty nice! And you can always go back to stock because you didn't hack up the fender.

A little bulky for my taste but if it was painted up it might look pretty good

Ya, you won't even see it when it is powder coated, with the checkered flag continued over it as well.
gets rid of a whole bunch metal though!
