WHat is the difference between the 78 650 B2 and 650 B2A
Rockin\' a KZ650B2 since 2007 and a KZ 1000E since 2008

There's been a couple thoughts on this. Some think the B2A was the CA model. I don't think, because I have a B2A that was sold here in Colorado. If you look at the serial numbers, the B2A numbers sequence begins right after the B2 ends with a small gap. The B2A is simply the late production 1978, where B2 was the early.
There's a few differences, the B2A got rid of the manual headlight switch like the rest of the Kawasaki KZs did in 1979, B2A used pilot screw carbs where B2 was air screw, the 4 headpipes had an added 6mm hexnut on each on the B2A, I assume for water drains. That's the differences I know of.

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.
