Need advice on a tow dolly
07 Oct 2008 22:26 - 07 Oct 2008 22:31
So, it's a real bitch getting my bike back and forth from the shop (where it spends most of its life).
I'm looking for a way to get it around. I'd get a small trailer, but I don't have anywhere to store it.
So I've been thinking of a dolly

or a caddy

Has anyone had any experience with a dolly or a caddy?

it might be ok for short little trips around town, but id be paranoid going any kind of distance looking back and seeing my bike pass me up.

That's exactly what I have in mind. If I were going any kind of distance, I'd get a trailer, but it is incredibly inconvenient for me to drop it off at the shop, etc. I'm also going to be getting a dual sport project bike soon, so the need for a solution will be even greater.
I gotta think someone on here has had a similar experience.

I would buy the trailer, a whole lot safer, I dont trust that dolly thing, not with my bike.
you can pick up a small trailer for a few hundred bucks, I have seen some small ones that fold up and can be stored up next to a wall.
besides once you have a trailer, think of all the other bikes you can bring back home with it:laugh:

It's just not an option, I have nowhere to store even a folding trailer.
It's a tow dolly, a tow caddy, or 16.95 a day ay U-Haul.
