What’s considered a fair price for a unknown KZ1000 engine?
07 Sep 2008 19:15 - 07 Sep 2008 19:24
I just stumbled upon this engine, and I'm considering buying it. Unknown history, no carbs, ran when it was put away, etc. Basically, a parts engine.
What is it worth?
Edit: Ouch! did I just put this in the wrong forum?
Sorry.

Sorry Folks, I guess that when I moved this thread Jim_Palmore's post got left behind somehow.
I've deleted it from the Engine forum and am adding it here now:
"there are 2 on ebay now 1 for $150 it has some fin damage and 1 for 200 that looks ok. if yours is local you will save about $100 in shipping charges.."

looks to be a 79-80 mkII motor,if it turns over its worth $200-$500 with the big pin crank and good cases

Still recovering, some days are better than others.
