Personally, I would have raised the shipping cost issue with him before I paid. If he gave you a pre-sale quote of $18 and later invoiced you for $25, I would have called him on that BEFORE paying.

Regarding the tears and condition, I would send the seller a note saying that there are more tears than advertised, and in your opinion, the seat is not in "good condition" as advertised. See what they say. They'll either blow you off--in which case you can give "honest" feedback, or they may opt to refund part of the cost.

If I had a GPz and wanted a spiffy looking seat, I would take MY OLD SEAT (especially if foam was in good shape) and recover it. The guy has a money-back return policy. Ship it back if you are dissatisfied... the pics he had in the auction pretty much showed the condition accurately. The cover appeared to be a bit rough and in real life, it is a bit rough so the only issue is the shipping charge. If he had quoted me $18, I would not have paid $25; that wasn't right.

could of cleaned it up--

that is funny-- you buoght it as is-- if ebay sellers take the time to clean stuff and make it look nice you might not of got such a cheap seat-- buy it cheap then clean it yourself.

if it was invoiced as 18 that is what you should have paid.

he didn't raise it after he sent the invoice did he?

that is against ebay rules i think.

at least it wasn't a ton of money...and now you have a seat.
