KZGone

It's been two weeks yesterday since I dropped off my KZ to its proud new owner. This guy has a fourteen bike garage, an eclectic mix focussing on no particular brand or era, and I'm glad to know my KZ will be in good company.
So, for the first time in many years I am a non-Kawasaki rider, as on the return trip from dropping off my KZ in London I picked up my new (to me) 650 V-Strom.
Air/oil cooled inline fours are amazing bikes, but there is a lot to say for a fairing, fuel injection, a comfortable seat and torque torque torque. I just can't figure out why the speedometer always seems to read 140 (km/h). There must be something wrong with my right hand.
I won't be signing off KZRider quite yet though, as there is a late 70s KZ650 nearby that might make its way into my garage. Besides, I have my KZRider patches and the people on the Stromtroopers forum are way to intense.

Oh well  Very few things last forever. Those V Stroms are nice looking bikes. I'm tempted to go look at a Versys. Enjoy

It's a treat to ride and the newest bike I've ever owned. I suspect another KZ will find its way into my stable though.
I have to put in another plug for NBX Action Sports in Barrie, Ontario. They did a great job at getting some oddly hard to find new parts for me. www.nbxactionsports.com . They are a MotoGuzzi / Aprilia / Piaggio dealer, and the stuff I ordered came with an invite to test ride a new Aprilia Shiver. It's a very pretty bike particularly in orange.
This picture is my six year old doing more than half the work installing the racks for my new hard cases. I think this is a good trend.

Sorry to hear your KZ is gone.
I'm sure you'll find another some day.
In the mean time, keep your eyes open for the next Ontario KZR meet.
You can come on any type of bike, or even car, to enjoy the sounds and sites of some KZs.
