You never stop moving. Have to refuel on the move like fighter planes. Takes a very dedicated rider! On the dash, there is a button you push that pushes a set of training wheels out the side along the back half of machine. Retrack them when you take off! Simple!

I saw the crash videos. They're proof that a good set of riding leathers and kicking free of the bike is better than trying to muscle an out-of-control bike into compliance. Even though he got hung up the first time, all he had was road rash.

KZ250LTD, it was a national geographic special on speed engineering, specifically for bikes. They replay it every once in a while, ive seen it a couple times. try you tube, keyword 76 KZ900, it might be there, but not sure.

You can't even estimate the speed from a Busa clock as like most modern bikes the speedo pickup is on the gearbox sprocket. Lower the gearing and the speedo reads fast, raise it and it reads slow.

For what it's worth, my GPz750 turbo has been TIMED at 211mph.

Wow, Lorcan, that's serious speed, IMO....and you probably only spent a fraction of what that BUB liner cost. Can I assume that you used some kind of slicker-than-stock bodywork on it for that run ??? Pics ???

Pic taken just prior to the run.
Stock GPz750 Turbo bodywork.

There is a whole thread about it on 750turbo.com (Lorcan's site).
