Motorcycle roads

I'm hoping some of you riders are aware of this site, this link I'm posting is for motorcycleroads.us If you ever wonder where the great roads for riding are, then you'll find it here. This site is the best I've found for finding a new route to ride and to help in planning trips. Other sites offer one or two roads, broken links, etc. but this seems pretty well set up.

You can also leave your own comments, and suggest a road be added. I added a comment yesterday and got a fast response from the siteowner, who listed my comment on the site. (Oklahoma State Road 37)

motorcycleroads.us/index.html

It lists favorite biking roads by state and region, and the roads have been submitted by riders. Some roads submitted turn out to not be very good for biking, but they may have looked good on a map. This is where the comments come in handy.

They show a map and the road is highlighted, so you see exactly what and where it runs. The maps are NOT interactive.

It tells if a road is a Fast Sweeper, Twisty, Scenic, Unpaved etc. A nice feature is they list adjoining roads on the left, which makes it easy to plan a trip.

If anyone knows of a good site similiar to this then post it here.

Have fun with it, and if you have a road to add, let the site owner know.

They actually show the decent ones I'm aware of for Kansas. I was expecting "Sorry, there are no good motorcycle roads in Kansas. Please select another state." or some such.

I put one in for Nebraska. How neighborly of me!

Yeah, but Nate, you're back in eastern Kansas. (That's an in-Kansas joke. The guys from Wichita and Salina don't get it, though!:P ) The Kansas High Plains roads are, with very little variance, the kind that go on straight to the horizon. That's probably why it's taking me so long to get the bike done. No motivation. Of course we're also the state that considers the World's Largest Ball of Twine a tourist attraction, too!

I live in southeast tennessee, the roads are some of the best in the country. Mountains are spectacular in the fall. The DRAGON is about 15 minutes from home, or go the other way and TELICO is 45. I have it made.:woohoo:
