While im doing the carbs....
23 Jan 2008 21:34
I figured the Spark plugs sat all last year and winter until now. The oil sat also all winter and last year too...so while i am doing the Rejetting of the carbs and tuning i should get sidetracked with plugs and oil too lol!

Don't forget about fork oil, swingarm grease, wheel bearing grease, brake fluid, lube cables, deglaze brake pads and chain lube. That should keep you busy until at least dinner

Yep doing that as i can.
Today i picked up some new spark plug caps & handle bar Grips.
Boss told me to make sure and take a lunch, so while driving back to the warehouse i stopped at the parts seller here in Kent.
Priced out an amgo cafe fairing like my old one, was $5 last summer, now its $85? Screw that!
I have to find the one that went away with my kz900 or wait for the owner of the store to be there and get it for $40 new.
Carb kits there are astronomically expensive, its cheaper to pay priority mail with Jeff Saunders.

I want to create a contraption that will fit my grease gun, place it over a Cable end and push real grease up the sheath and have nice non-friction cables.

But then on those hot summer days you would have grease running out the end of the cables. WOuld be nice if you could get it work though. You would never have to lube them because they would eventually break way before they needed lube.

And then in the winter the grease gets really nice and thick! Seriously, don't do the grease thing. Use the proper lube, tie a baggie around one end and let the lube work it's way down or get one of the cable lubers which is messy but it works.
