Backrest and Luggage Rack

I was hoping some of the people on this site might direct me to a vendor or person that has a one piece backrest and luggage rack that fits a 1981 KZ1000M-1, new if possible, good shape otherwise. Toronto area or mail order. Thaks BIGD

I know of nobody making new. The old standby for these type parts is ebay. Check out the links below. All these should fit or take easy mods to make fit. Happy bidding, ride safe!

amco made custom fit luggage racks, and KG makes universal fit racks.

i've got an amco on my kz1000. the backrest was an option that slides into the luggage rack.

i found mine on ebay. search rack, kz1000, luggage, backrest, amco, etc. it's surprising how an obscure search sometimes hits gold. good luck!

BTW, the fitment of the custom racks can also vary between standard and LTD models. i bought a custom rack for my kz550 standard that only fits the LTD. :pinch:

Thanks Vter Bob for the connection to Ebay item, I will be bidding on 1 item. It seems to be the backrest I had on my original KZ1000 in the early 80's. BIGD
