Isn't Mitch the guy that raced the 550 that was built at Mid-Ohio from a bike and parts built in the vendor area?
My son Jamie was there that year and we had fun watching them building and racing the bike.
They were in our area several times digging for parts.I removed the tach cable form my KZ1000A1 and gave it to them for the race bike.
I like articles like that.

That was them as I recall picking up that issue of Motorcyclist and reading about the effort. I recall reading about it here first.

Yeah I've been mixed up as well.
I bought the last issue of Motorcycle Classics with the kz1300 in it.
I have yet to see Motorcyclist Classic on the shelves.

Nope! Motorcyclist Retro is the name of the new magazine.
I had picked up the April 2008 copy of Motorcyclist and the full page ad at the back calls it Motorcyclist Retro.
