I think this guy is smoking some funky stuff. What would he gain by making this claim?

Usually you can ride a Moped at a young age but I doubt a KZ440 would count as a moped. Nice little bike but not $1300 nice, more like $300 nice

I don't know what the law is in NJ, but in Indiana it's 2 - 2.5 (One of those, I forget which) hp, 25 mph top speed, and no more than 3 wheels. Also no more than 49 cc if gas powered.

If I had a copy of it I'd love to forward this guy a copy of the old registration for my 78 KZ200. That wasn't a moped and this one isn't either!
Speaking of mopeds (real ones) anyone have a recommendation on a reliable one? I may have to start commuting to NYC by train. I've got a station about 3/4 mile from my house which is certainly walking distance but I don't always feel like walking (I used to make the same commute 5 years ago). I can drive but unless you get to the station at the crack of dawn parking (even for a full-sized bike) is a nightmare. I figure a small moped would get me there in about 5 minutes and I could probably park it at the bicycle rack.
Thanks,
Jonathan

Talman, find a little Honda Express or similar Yamaha. They are cheap and will easily fit in a bicycle rack. If it got stolen you would only be out $150 or so. YOu will not set any land speen records but it will get you there unless you have a big hill or something
