Kz Riders, I need your Help!

Dear community,

I come to you all asking for you help in finding my bike which has been Stolen! I live in the Tacoma area of Washington State. The bike is a 1980 Kz440 which has been painted black, with a custom seat, no fender and clubman bars. The VIN is KZ440A002235. unfortunately I have no recent pictures. If all of you could keep your eyes open for suspicious postings of parts or wholesale on sites such as craigslist or ebay, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you all sincerely,

cody

You came to the right place bud. Sorry about the theft but if the bike makes it's way to the open market someone here will find it. Are there any distinctive markings such as sticker on fork, duct tape on seat, weird mirrors or anything else that will help it stand out? Have you reprted it to the cops yet? Not much they will do about it but if you hear that someone has it you will be able to have the cops pick it up since they will have it on record. Good luc finding it. Add a update to this post at least once a day until it is found so that the post stays at the top and does not get forgot about.

I am getting a few photos from the friend who helped me work on the seat. it is totally handmade, so assuming it is still with the bike, you can't miss it. the tank is painted black, no decals as I was going to paint the kz on it. I have not yet contacted the police, as I found out just a few hours ago, but it will get done today. thank you again!

Try running an ad on Criagslist but list your location as Spokane or Tri cities or something like that. I'll also keep an eye on Portland and Spokane for ya.

I'll keep an eye out in the Portland Craigslist and Cycletrader. Some people have no decency. Stealing a man's bike. Why steal a 28 year old motorcycle, obviously worth more to the owner than whatever pittance you can get for it? Stick with late model sportbikes, jerks. I hope we find the bastard. There was a good article in the Oregonian a couple months ago about a bicycle owner who posed as a prospective buyer when his bike came up on CL (being parted out!). He had a bunch of buddies in the car when he showed up, and had called the cops.

Awfully coincidental timing. Probably a good idea to check into it.
